Services
We’ll help you get back in action quickly and safely with our physical therapy services.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is the use of evidence based techniques to treat musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions that limit your ability to complete everyday tasks. Often times the techniques are manual in nature, however a physical therapist also educates his patients in appropriate exercises and movement patterns that will improve strength, flexibility, recovery time, and pain. Some modalities can be used in conjunction with therapy to speed up the healing time.
Why Choose us?
- We use a variety of evidence based techniques like soft tissue mobilization, join mobilization, manual traction, and more!
- We treat a full range of injuries and impairments
- We accept insurance
- We use industry leading equipment and techniques
Dry Needling & Cupping Therapy
Dry Needling is one of the best ways to break the cycle of trigger point pain. Inserting an acupuncture-like needle into the trigger point relaxes the muscles, boosts blood flow, diminishes inflammation, and triggers a healing response. This treatment also improves nerve communication and activates the release of your body’s natural pain relievers.
Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine used to treat pain and inflammation. The cups are designed to create suction which promotes blood flow and can also help mobilize soft tissue when done with specialized movement patterns designed by our therapists. Cupping can also be used for massage which help reduce muscle tension.
Some conditions that can be treated:
- Migraines
- Trigger Points
- Myofascial pain syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic Pain
- Inflammation
- Soft tissue restriction
Class IV Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is an FDA cleared modality that reduces inflammation and ultimately results in pain reduction. Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions and post-op pain.
Laser therapy treatment is safe, painless and fast. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy treatments are administered in 5 to 10 minutes. Typically patients see results after 3 to 5 treatment sessions. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy utilizes your body’s own healing powers by stimulating cellular activity. Despite fast treatment times, laser therapy treatments initiate a healing process that continues to actively reduce inflammation for up 24 hours after treatment.
Blood Flow Restriction
BFR stands for Blood Flow Restriction training, a technique that involves using cuffs or bands to temporarily restrict blood flow to the muscles during exercise. This method has gained popularity due to several potential benefits:
- Rehabilitation: It’s used in physical therapy to aid in the recovery of injured muscles or joints, promoting muscle activation without placing excessive stress on healing tissues. Perfect for post-operative patients.
- Muscle Growth: BFR allows you to achieve muscle hypertrophy (growth) using lighter weights, which can be beneficial for those recovering from injury or unable to lift heavy weights.
- Strength Gains: It has been shown to increase muscle strength, potentially through mechanisms like increased recruitment of fast-twitch muscle fibers.
- Endurance Improvement: BFR can enhance endurance by improving muscle fiber recruitment and metabolic stress during exercise.
- Efficiency: Since BFR allows effective training with lighter loads, it can save time and reduce the risk of injury associated with heavier lifting.
Overall, BFR is a versatile training method that can benefit athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and individuals undergoing rehabilitation alike. Proper technique and guidance from a trained professional are essential to ensure safety and maximize benefits.
